vSphere Components

VMware software products virtualize computing resources, including CPU, memory, storage, and networks. Virtualization provides an abstraction layer between computing resources, physical storage, and networking hardware, and the applications that use the resources.

VMware vSphere few component as follow.

1. ESX/ESXi Host.
2. vSphere client.
3. VMware vCenter Server.
4. vSphere web access.
5. vSphere command line interface (CLI) or Power CLI.

ESX/ESXi Host 

The ESX/ESXi baremetal hypervisor is capable of supporting multiple virtual machines and other virtual components, such as storage and networks

vSphere Client

• vSphere Client is a GUI to manage vSphere and basically manage single or multiple host to manage hardware resources and virtual machine.
• An interface that allows users to connect remotely to ESX/ESXi or vCenter Server from any Windows PC

VMware vCenter Server.

vCenter Server either a physical or virtual machine and it's centralize manage multiple hosts, and enables the use of advanced features such as vSphere DRS, vSphere HA, vSphere vMotion, vSphere Storage vMotion, and vSphere Auto Deploy.

vSphere web access

• The vSphere Web Client is a browser-based interface for configuring and administering virtual machines.
• Like a vSphere Client, vSphere Web Access can either be used to connect directly to an ESX/ESXi host or to a vCenter Server system.
